Andreas Lærum (1975) er utdannet ved Kunsthøgskolen i Bergen, avd. Kunstakademiet.
På utstillingen viser han verk på papir, hvor tusj med akrylmaling er redskapet for de svært detaljerte og nøyaktig avstemte motivene. Det er komplekse strukturer av mønstre og farger, med organiske elementer og geometriske former.
Utstillingen har fått tittel Rammeproblemet og Andreas Lærum åpner opp om spørsmål rundt vårt forhold til kunstig intelligens, normalitet, psykiatrien og hvordan vi setter allting inn i rammer og båser.
So now, it is time to wake up to the liberation of psychosis. It is important that groups have strong representatives, people who can stand up and discuss the problems facing them. In contrast, the psychotic group is mostly weak; it has no one to lead it, to create a movement.
But it is important to lift this group up and give it a voice. Its expression is without doubt colourful, despite the state’s habit of putting its members in straight jackets and of restraining them with leather belts. Even today, there are humans in our society who are violently forced into obedience by the state. Are they consequently having a better time? What do they feel? Are they more free than they otherwise would be?

Andreas Lærum har deltatt på flere utstillinger i Norge og utlandet, senest antatt på Østlandsutstillingen (2020), Tegnerforbundet (2017).
Lærum er tildelt Midlertidig stipendordning Covid-19, Kulturrådet (2020), Prosjektstøtte visuell kunst, Kulturrådet (2017) og er innkjøpt av KORO (2018).
